Who We Are

We understand choosing a hearing care provider is a big decision. At Beckman Audiology Center, our number one priority is delivering exceptional patient care. Our staff combines years of expertise in hearing healthcare, and is well-trained on a variety of services ranging from evaluations to treatment.

We believe great care includes establishing great relationships with our patients. Treating hearing loss is an ongoing process that requires regular follow-ups, maintenance and cleanings to keep you hearing your best. Our staff is here to support you not only during your initial visit but throughout your entire journey to better hearing.

Our Staff

Lindsay Shafer, Au.D., CCC-A

Doctor of Audiology - Owner

Dr. Shafer has called southeast Texas home since 1987. She is a graduate of Lamar University where she completed both her Bachelors of Communication Disorders and Doctorate of Audiology degrees. In 2008 she moved to Dallas, Texas where she completed her doctoral externship at the North Texas VA Medical Center and then worked at an ENT office in Plano for six years. In 2014, Dr. Shafer returned to southeast Texas with her family and began working at Beckman Audiology with Dr. J.T. Beckman. The four years she worked alongside Dr. Beckman were a complete joy and Dr. Shafer is honored to have been trusted by Dr. Beckman to care for his patients.

Tracy Ellis

Office Manager

In January of 2018 Tracy joined our office. Tracy has been a complete answer to prayer and such a blessing to Dr. Shafer and the patients we serve. She goes above and beyond to care for each patient and manager our office with a smile! Tracy is a mother of four and a Nonna to three grandbabies!

Tonya DeRouen

Audiology Assistant

Tonya joined Beckman Audiology, PLLC in January 2022 and has been an amazing asset to our team. She is the friendly face for most hearing aid check & cleans. She can handle walk-in patients, otoscopy, repairs, ordering, shipping, technology issues and a multitude of other things that keep our office running smoothly. Dr. Shafer has no idea how she functioned before Tonya came on board! Tonya is a wife and mother of two.
